1. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device through your browser when you visit a website. They can help websites remember information between page requests or visits.
Similar technologies include browser storage, tracking pixels, and scripts or tags that collect information about website activity. Some technologies can send information without placing cookies.
Cookies may be:
- First-party cookies: Associated with the website you visit.
- Third-party cookies: Associated with another domain, such as a service provider’s domain.
- Session cookies: Generally intended to last for a browsing session.
- Persistent cookies: Stored until their configured expiry or until removed, subject to browser behavior.
2. Why we use these technologies
We use cookies and related technologies for purposes that include:
- Supporting website operation and requested functions.
- Remembering cookie consent choices.
- Understanding website traffic and visitor interactions.
- Identifying usability issues.
- Measuring advertising results.
- Supporting remarketing and personalized advertising where enabled and permitted by your choices.
The behavior of each service depends on its configuration, enabled features, your browser, and your consent choices.
3. Categories of cookies and technologies
Essential technologies
These support functions necessary to operate the website or provide a service you request. Examples can include security, maintaining a requested session, and remembering your cookie consent choice.
A technology’s essential status depends on its actual purpose. Analytics and advertising tools are not essential simply because they are useful to us.
Analytics and experience measurement
These help us understand how visitors find and use our website and where they experience difficulties. Our selected services include Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity.
Advertising and remarketing
These help measure advertising performance and support relevant advertising to previous website visitors, where enabled and permitted by your choices. Our selected service includes Google Ads and remarketing.
4. Services used on our website
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand website traffic and visitor interactions. Depending on configuration and consent, information may include pages viewed, referral sources, interaction events, and browser or device information.
Cookie use, advertising features, identifiers, and data retention depend on our settings. We do not describe all analytics information as anonymous.
Microsoft Clarity
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand website interactions and identify usability issues.
Its features can include heatmaps and session replays showing interactions such as clicks, scrolling, and navigation. Collection, masking, cookie use, and feature availability depend on the configuration and consent signals sent to Clarity.
Cookie-free operation can still involve limited data collection.
Google Ads and remarketing
We use Google Ads tools for advertising measurement and remarketing.
Depending on enabled features and consent, these tools can associate website activity with advertising interactions, measure actions following an advertisement, and support personalized advertising to previous visitors.
Google may process information under its own policies. The features actually enabled determine what information is collected and used.
Google Tag Manager
We use Google Tag Manager to deploy and manage website tags.
Tags deployed through it may collect information or use cookies for analytics, advertising, or other purposes. Each tag must be assessed according to its own behavior.
Using Google Tag Manager does not automatically mean that every deployed tag respects cookie consent choices.
Google Search Console
We use Google Search Console to monitor our website’s presence and performance in Google Search, including impressions, clicks, and search queries.
Search Console itself does not require a separate visitor-tracking cookie on our website. If Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager is used to verify ownership, those services retain their separate functions and consent considerations.
5. Information that may be processed
Depending on the service and its settings, cookies and related technologies may process:
- Online identifiers.
- Pages visited and referral information.
- Browser and device details.
- Approximate location information.
- Website interactions.
- Advertising interactions.
- Cookie consent choices.
Some of this information may constitute personal data. The information actually collected varies by service and configuration.
See our Privacy Policy and the relevant providers’ notices for further information.
6. Accepting or rejecting cookies
Our cookie banner provides Accept and Reject options.
- Accept: Indicates permission for the optional analytics and advertising uses described in the banner and this policy.
- Reject: Indicates that you do not give permission for optional cookies. Technologies necessary to provide requested website functions or remember your choice may still be used.
Rejecting cookies does not necessarily mean that every script stops loading or that no information is transmitted. Some services support limited measurement without cookies.
Continuing to browse or closing the banner does not, by itself, express an Accept choice.
7. Changing your choice and browser controls
You can make a new selection when the cookie banner is displayed. For help changing or withdrawing a previous choice, contact us through our contact page.
You can also use your browser settings to view, block, or delete cookies and, where supported, clear other website storage.
Browser controls are separate from the website’s consent mechanism. Deleting cookies does not necessarily change preferences held elsewhere or remove information already sent to a provider.
Blocking essential cookies may affect functions you request. Clearing stored consent information may cause the banner to appear again.
You can also manage Google advertising preferences through my ad center . These controls supplement the choices on our website.
8. Cookie duration and data retention
Cookie durations vary by service, purpose, and configuration. Some cookies expire at the end of a browsing session, while others remain until their configured expiry or until removed.
Expiry may also depend on whether a cookie is refreshed and how your browser handles storage.
Cookie expiry is separate from the period for which Softhealer or a service provider retains information already collected.
9. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this policy when our website, tools, or practices change. The date at the top will show when the policy was last updated.
A policy update does not itself give us your consent to new optional tracking purposes.
