Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Odoo Functional Consultant. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on knowledge of Odoo functional capabilities, business process analysis, solution consulting, requirement discovery, product demonstrations, and client engagement.
The consultant will primarily support the Presales and Business Development teams by understanding prospective clients' business requirements, mapping them to suitable Odoo solutions, conducting customized demonstrations, preparing solution proposals, defining scope, supporting estimations, and assisting throughout the sales cycle.
The role also requires practical understanding of Odoo implementation, Saudi localization, VAT, ZATCA Phase 2 e-invoicing, Arabic/bilingual invoicing, and Saudi business processes to ensure proposed solutions are realistic and implementable.

Responsibilities
Presales & Solution Consulting
- Engage with prospective clients to understand their business processes, challenges, objectives, and ERP requirements.
- Conduct discovery meetings, requirement workshops, and business process discussions.
- Map customer requirements to standard Odoo functionality and appropriate modules.
- Design practical Odoo solutions and conduct customized product demonstrations, presentations, workshops, and POCs where required.
- Explain Odoo capabilities, limitations, workflows, implementation considerations, and proposed solutions to business and technical stakeholders.
- Identify gaps and recommend configuration, customization, integration, or third-party solutions as appropriate.
- Support Sales and Business Development teams with functional and solution-related queries throughout the sales cycle.
Requirement Analysis & Proposal
- Prepare GAP analysis, process flows, solution documents, scope documents, SOWs, and functional specifications where required.
- Define proposed modules, workflows, reports, integrations, customizations, and deliverables.
- Support RFP/RFQ responses, proposals, solution presentations, and commercial discussions.
- Provide functional inputs for effort estimation, costing, implementation timelines, data migration, training, and support requirements.
- Clearly document assumptions, dependencies, exclusions, risks, and customer responsibilities.
Odoo Functional Expertise
- Maintain strong knowledge of Odoo modules including Sales, CRM, Purchase, Inventory/Warehouse, Accounting, Manufacturing, POS, Project, HR/Employees, and E-Commerce.
- Understand end-to-end integration between Odoo modules and recommend suitable workflows based on business requirements.
- Work with technical teams to validate the feasibility of customizations, integrations, reports, APIs, and third-party solutions.
- Stay updated with relevant Odoo versions, features, modules, and localization changes.
Saudi Localization & Compliance
- Strong understanding of Saudi Odoo localization and accounting requirements.
- Practical knowledge of Saudi VAT and ZATCA e-invoicing/Fatoora, including Phase 2 requirements.
- Understand relevant B2B tax invoice, B2C simplified invoice, QR code, XML/e-invoicing, reporting/clearance, and integration requirements.
- Understand Arabic/bilingual invoicing and Saudi business-process requirements.
Client & Internal Coordination
- Lead functional discussions with Finance, Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, HR, Manufacturing, and other business teams.
- Handle client questions, objections, and functional clarifications professionally.
- Coordinate with Sales, Business Development, Technical, QA, Project Management, and Implementation teams.
- Conduct internal solution reviews and ensure accurate Presales-to-Implementation handover after deal closure.
- Support the implementation team during the initial project stage for clarification of agreed requirements and scope.
Experience

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, ERP, or a related field.
Languages Known

Must Have
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Odoo functional configuration, implementation, and business processes.
- Strong experience in solution consulting, requirement discovery, and customized Odoo demonstrations.
- Ability to independently conduct client meetings, workshops, solution presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Strong knowledge of multiple Odoo modules, particularly Sales, CRM, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, Manufacturing, POS, Project, and HR.
- Strong understanding of Saudi Odoo localization and accounting requirements.
- Practical knowledge of Saudi VAT and ZATCA e-invoicing/Fatoora, including Phase 2 requirements.
- Ability to distinguish between standard functionality, configuration, customization, integration, and third-party solutions.
- Experience preparing GAP analysis, process flows, SOWs, proposals, solution documents, and functional specifications.
- Experience providing functional inputs for effort estimation, costing, and project planning.
- Strong presentation, communication, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with Sales, Business Development, Technical, QA, Project Management, and Implementation teams.
Preferred
- Experience working with Saudi or GCC clients.
- Experience responding to RFPs/RFQs and preparing commercial/technical proposals.
- Experience with Odoo integrations, APIs, payment gateways, and third-party applications.
- Previous experience managing Odoo implementations from a functional perspective.
- Experience across industries such as Trading, Retail, Manufacturing, Distribution, Services, Construction, or E-Commerce.
- Odoo or relevant ERP certification is a plus.
